The Northeast Business and Economics Association (NBEA), formerly the New England Business and Economics Association, was founded in 1973 to promote research in business and economics by enhancing the discussion and exchange of applied and theoretical original research among scholars. These broad objectives are achieved by holding an annual conference and overseeing the publication of The Journal of Business and Economic Studies.

The Journal of Business and Economic Studies (JBES) is the official peer-reviewed journal of the Northeast Business & Economics Association.  The journal is published online as a Gold Open Access journal.  The Journal of Business and Economic Studies seeks high quality research papers in ALL AREAS of business and economics.

The JBES publishes original empirical and theoretical papers, case studies, and book reviews.  The journal is listed in Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal List, Cabell’s Directories, AEA’s EconLit, Proquest and EBSCO databases. All submissions are double blind peer reviewed and our target is to have initial reviews done within two months.
